My passion for music and playing the violin has taught me a lot about working in a team and being dedicated to a craft. Violin has given me so much; friends, appreciation for art and beauty, and wonderful experiences like playing at Carnegie Hall.
During the 2025-2026 school year I won the role of Co-Concertmaster of the Hope College Orchestra, which has helped me understand how to lead my section for the benefit of the larger group.
This coming year I have the distinct honor of being elected, by my peers, to the orchestra board! Alongside our conductor, the orchestra board makes decisions regarding the flourishing of every student in the orchestra, and we work hard to live out our calling as musicians, students, and members of our community.
It is very exciting for me to announce that the orchestra has been selected to play in Los Angeles California, in the summer of 2027 as a part of the Sounds of Summer Festival in Walt Disney Concert Hall!
Great News! The Hope College Orchestra has also been selected as a finalist in the Orchestral Programming - Vytautas Marijosius Memorial Award (College/University Division) in The American Prize National Non-Profit Competitions in the Performing Arts. The Hope College Orchestra is one of only six finalists nationwide to receive the recognition! (samuelpang.net)
